Well, I never thought about the emotions that might accompany the last of a heroic, meaningful, Holy Spirit filled ministry. For twenty years, Sonshine Singers has, for Armona, been a driving force in her life. I cannot count the ways her ministry has affected my walk with Jesus.
People ask, “How does she do it?” Year after year, she listened to countless hours of Christian music. All those hours previewing and selecting just the right song that will touch the hearts of people.
If you’re a musician and are one of the several hundred people who have sung for her over the years, you know the meticulous, detail manner in which she directs. You know the joy it has been to sing under her direction.
There was a time when I said, “Armona has the magic.” Over the years I’ve matured. I now say, “Armona has the blessing.”
As the twentieth year of music ministry culminates on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week, won’t you come and hear the Word of the Lord?
Each year, Sonshine Singers have ministered to 2,000 people more or less. What this group of singers have done is the closest thing to a “revival meeting” that Fort Dodge has ever experienced.
I was there to hear the borning song of Sonshine Singers. I’ll be there at the end to hear their never ending hymns of glory. I’ll be there with a tear in my eye…..
I’m so proud of you, Armona…..what I say about her is not brag, just fact.
Love to all,
