Reflections from the Heart of Allan Redenius
 
Since I are one, I thought I would offer up some wisdom to old people. 😊
 

• Always stay vertical;

• When you are walking in a parking lot where there is no sidewalk, do NOT walk down the center of the traffic lane.  Then again, if you want to irritate the driver of the vehicle behind you, continue to walk down the center at a snail’s pace;

 

• When driving and wanting to make a right-hand turn, don’t pull into the left lane to turn right.  You are not driving a truck.  If you are driving a truck, it’s fun to watch the cars scatter when you do pull into the left lane; 😊

 

• Take a shower, comb your hair, brush your teeth, and always look sharp.  You might not be able to see yourself in the mirror anymore, but other people can see you.  Why the shower?  Well, duh….;

 

• Always be kind, never rude.  You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.  That person to whom you are kind today, you just might need him tomorrow;

 

• If you think you’re never going to die, you better think again;

 

• In that same vain, if you don’t know Jesus now, you better get to know Him today.  You just might meet Him tomorrow.  By the way, if you’re young, and don’t know the Lord, you better get to know him today as well.  You too just might meet Him face to face tomorrow;

 

• Be benevolent with a cheerful heart.  You can’t take anything with you;

 
There are many more rules of thumb to live life well into old age.  Here’s one last thought.  Embrace it.  You can’t change it.
