Ark Encounter

7/29/2018

So here I am walking around in a life size, Biblical proportion, honest to goodness, Noah’s Ark.  It’s one and one-half football fields long and seven stories high.  It wouldn’t fit in either Kinnick Stadium or the other football stadiums in the State.

Here’s some interesting facts about the Ark that, though not in the Bible, just make sense:

  • Noah captured rain water on the deck of the Ark, stored it in water towers, and distributed it throughout the boat with hollow wooden tubes;
  • The animals that boarded the boat were probably juveniles.  After all, they all stayed on the Ark for a very long time;
  • Not only was there probably a waste disposal system, but there had to be a system to get fresh air into the boat.  Upwards of 38,000 animals all in one place probably didn’t smell too pretty;
  • Noah had to be an agronomist, shipbuilder, and so many other things.  But the most important trait Noah possessed was this.  He loved the Lord and obeyed Him.
Oh, one other thing on the Ark that surprised me.  There was a gift shop and they served great coffee and a wonderful cookie (that Armona made me split with her.) J  Come on people---Noah had to take a break once in a while!! J

Noah’s Ark in Kentucky.  If you’re there, don’t miss it!

Love,
