Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

I've thought and prayed about this war with Iran, trying to understand how it fits in with Bible prophecy.  Here is my revelation.  Some would say maybe more conjecture than revelation, but it makes sense, at least to me.
 
In the war of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38 & 39), yet to come, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Libya, and Ethiopia form an alliance for the purpose of invading Israel.  Gog is the likely Prince of this alliance known as Magog.  I don't know what will precipitate the invasion, but the Lord says, “I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out...”  (Ezekiel 38:4 NASB)  God draws Gog and Magog to invade the land of Israel.  As this is happening, what do the allies of Israel, the United States and the other countries of the world do?  Surprisingly, they do not rally and come to the defense of Israel.  All they do is to ask of Gog and Magog, “Have you come to take a spoil?”  (Ezekiel 37:13 NASB)
 
How does this current war with Iran help fulfill Ezekiel's God-given prophecy?  Currently, the United States is at war with Iran at great expense, and whether we like to admit it or not, there is a political price to be paid for this necessary, but seemingly unpopular, war.  Eventually, the politicians are going to grow tired of forever defending Israel and warring in the Middle East.  Already, within our country, we see the rise of anti-Semitism and the uninformed rally behind and support of Iran, and its’ proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas.
 
As I see it, not willing to pay the economic or political price, the United States and Israel’s other allies withdraw from the Middle East.  This will embolden and pave the way for Gog and Magog to invade Israel.
  
Now enter God into the picture.  Though all others abandon Israel, God does not.  By His mighty power, He intercedes on behalf of Israel and Gog and his armies die on the battlefield at the hand of God.  Enter now the anti-Christ who promises to bring world peace, including a peace accord with Israel.
 
Now if you are a Christian, not to worry.  Just before the Antichrist reveals himself, we will be raptured to heaven.  (1stThessalonians 4)   End of the earthly story for the Christians.  Oh wait…only the beginning of the story of eternity in heaven for the Christians…PRAISE JESUS!
 
As the Lord commands in Psalm 122:6, pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
